Chinese in Washington D.C. held a demonstration in front of the Philippine Embassy in the U.S. on Sunday, voicing their support for China to maintain sovereignty over Huangyan Island.
The organizer released the official map of the Philippines in 1990 and 2008. The maps cast doubt over Philippine territorial claims over Huangyan Island.
The organizer also published a Joint Declaration, which was proposed by 15 Chinese organizations in the United States.They expressed strong support for the Chinese government to defend China’s national interests.

A group of Chinese gathered on Sunday at the Philippine embassy in Washington to protest Manila's groundless claim over the sovereignty of Huangyan Island, Chinese media reported.
In London, dozens of Chinese protesters defied rain on Monday morning to gather outside the Philippine embassy to protest against Manila's claim.
